In all positions at GP Bikes, it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

PARTS & ACCESSORIES SALES ASSOCIATE (FULL-TIME)

As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering inquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your work day, then this may be the job for you!  This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include making sure merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle!
  • Knowledge in motorcycle parts and accessories.
  • 3-5 years of previous customer experience selling motorcycle parts
  • Keyboarding and computer skills
  • Able to work under pressure and good time management
  • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills
  • Available during all open hours (including Saturdays)
  • You love to multitask

CASHIER (PART-TIME)

If you are friendly, energetic, and have a “no problem” attitude that makes customers feel welcome, then this may be the job for you! In this position, you are responsible for delivering excellent service to every customer - whether you are processing purchases, returns, exchanges, or general inquiries. You love to multitask and handle duties such as answering phone calls, completing transactions, as well as administrative tasks assigned by the various departments within the company. You will need to possess good math skills and have the ability to keep a balanced till.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
  • Positive work attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good math and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work a few day shifts, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, and Saturdays  (ideal position for a post-secondary student)

MOTORCYCLE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC (FULL-TIME)

As a Motorcycle Technician/Mechanic you are responsible for performing all forms of service work from tune-ups to engine rebuilds on most makes and models, including Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Honda. You will complete repair work accurately and within the scheduled time period. You will test ride bikes as required for diagnostic purposes prior to returning to the customer. You will conduct oil changes, tire changes and carb clean setups. This is a full-time position with a higher number of working hours in the busy season.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate Motorcyclist and have a minimum M2 licence
  • Knowledge and experience working with Ducati, Triumph, KTM,and Honda is an asset
  • Must have 310G Motorcycle Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Diagnostic skills with both carbureted and fuel injected engines
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must provide own toolbox and hand-tools specific to the trade while GP does supply some specialty tools
  • Maintain a clean organized workspace

LOT PORTER (FULL-TIME)

If you are someone that has a desire to work in a fast paced environment and has the ability to multitask, then this may be the job for you! In the Full-Time Lot Porter position, you will assist the flow within the Service and Sales departments. As a Lot Porter you will wash and detail motorcycles as well as move them in and around the dealership. You will assist the Technicians as needed and run errands in a company vehicle (such as refilling portable gas tanks, picking up parts from local suppliers, and other errands as assigned). You will work hard to ensure the motorcycles and off-road vehicles on the showroom floor are well presented. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Valid G driver’s license (M2 licence is an asset)
  • Clean Driver’s abstract
  • Basic knowledge of motorcycles and off-road vehicles (makes and models)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Positive work attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)

As an Administrative Assistant for GP Bikes you will play an important role in supporting our Sales Administrator and Motorcycle Sales team. You will assist the President by preparing documents and providing other administrative assistance as required. This position reviews sales contracts and ensures required documentation is complete and accurate before processing the sale and releasing the vehicle for delivery. Other administrative duties associated with the motorcycle inventory and overall dealership are also handled by this position.

Job Duties

  • Record all New & Used Vehicles in Garage Register
  • Prepare file folders for each inventory unit received
  • License and register all vehicles by visiting local Service Ontario Office
  • Assist sales team with vehicle & sale documentation
  • Enter all aspects of vehicle sale into POS system and all required manufacturer portals
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning
  • Back-up member of cashier team as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

Qualifications:

  • Motorcycle, automotive and retail industry experience are considered assets
  • Previous customer service and administrative experience is required
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Strong math and organizational skills
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
  • Proven integrity and professionalism in handling confidential material
  • Ability to work proficiently and calmly under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel
  • Valid ‘G2’ or higher Drivers Licence and a Drivers Abstract acceptable to our insurance provider
  • Available to be scheduled during any open hours, including Saturdays and some evenings
