In all positions at GP Bikes, it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

PARTS & ACCESSORIES SALES ASSOCIATE (FULL-TIME)

As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering inquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your work day, then this may be the job for you!  This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include making sure merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle!
  • Knowledge in motorcycle parts and accessories.
  • 3-5 years of previous customer experience selling motorcycle parts
  • Keyboarding and computer skills
  • Able to work under pressure and good time management
  • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills
  • Available during all open hours (including Saturdays)
  • You love to multitask

SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK (FULL-TIME)

If you are organized, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy manual material handling in your work day, then this may be the job for you. In this position, you will be responsible for unpacking received inventory (motorcycle parts and apparel) and making sure it is well accounted for and labeling accordingly. You will ensure every item has a security tag and process all required paperwork. When shipping customer orders you will package the items, maintain adequate records for reporting, and track and verify receipt of shipment. Excellent customer service is crucial. During slower periods within our shipping and receiving department, versatility is key! Other duties may include: assisting customers purchasing product; ensuring product is merchandised effectively; responding via phone or email to customer enquiries regarding orders; and more.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle!
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
  • Positive work attitude
  • Be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Experience operating a forklift and pallet truck would be an asset
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and working knowledge of computers.
  • Able to work Saturdays is a requirement.

SERVICE ADVISOR (FULL-TIME)

GP Bikes is looking for an individual who loves motorcycles, has a desire to work in a fast paced environment and loves working with people. In this position, you are responsible for booking appointments, facilitating and quoting customer jobs, closing service invoices and selling service operations. You may also prepare and process warranty claims from the manufacturer or supplier. If you have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and motorcycle knowledge, then this may be the job for you!.

Job Duties

  • Intake customer’s motorcycle or power equipment for repair or diagnostics, providing appropriate details on the work order
  • Address customers using their preferred method of communication (telephone, email or in-person)
  • Book service appointments
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by updating them with progress, as well as clearly explaining current and future service requirements
  • As required, process warranty claims for service work being performed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle!
  • Knowledge of motorcycle makes and models
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a service advisor or within the motorcycle industry
  • Physical ability to push motorcycles around dealership as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous warranty submission experience is considered an asset
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

CASHIER (PART-TIME)

If you are friendly, energetic, and have a “no problem” attitude that makes customers feel welcome, then this may be the job for you! In this position, you are responsible for delivering excellent service to every customer - whether you are processing purchases, returns, exchanges, or general inquiries. You love to multitask and handle duties such as answering phone calls, completing transactions, as well as administrative tasks assigned by the various departments within the company. You will need to possess good math skills and have the ability to keep a balanced till.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
  • Positive work attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good math and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work a few days in the week and Saturdays

MOTORCYCLE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC (FULL-TIME)

As a Motorcycle Technician/Mechanic you are responsible for performing all forms of service work from tune-ups to engine rebuilds on most makes and models, including Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Honda. You will complete repair work accurately and within the scheduled time period. You will test ride bikes as required for diagnostic purposes prior to returning to the customer. You will conduct oil changes, tire changes and carb clean setups. This is a full-time position with a higher number of working hours in the busy season.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate Motorcyclist and have a minimum M2 licence
  • Knowledge and experience working with Ducati, Triumph, KTM,and Honda is an asset
  • Must have 310G Motorcycle Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Diagnostic skills with both carbureted and fuel injected engines
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must provide own toolbox and hand-tools specific to the trade while GP does supply some specialty tools
  • Maintain a clean organized workspace
