In all positions at GP Bikes it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

 CASHIER (Part-time position)

If you are friendly, energetic, and have a “no problem” attitude that makes customers feel welcome, then this may be the job for you! In this position, you are responsible for delivering excellent service to every customer - whether you are processing purchases, returns, exchanges, or general inquiries. You love to multitask and handle duties such as answering phone calls, completing transactions, as well as administrative tasks assigned by the various departments within the company. You will need to possess good math skills and have the ability to keep a balanced till.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport

 DELIVERY DRIVER (Full-time position)

The Driver is responsible for using company vehicles (pick-up trucks and various trailers) to deliver or pick up motorcycles throughout the region. Responsibilities will include preparing motorcycles for delivery, loading and securing the bikes, recording of delivery information, interacting with customers on delivery, accepting/making payment for goods, and ensuring overall vehicle safety. The driver also runs various errands, including picking up parts, bringing paperwork to the licence office, transporting customers, etc. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, including showroom inventory maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid GM driver’s license (AZ license considered an asset)

  • Clean Driver’s abstract

  • Knowledge of motorcycle makes and models

  • Able to work in a fast-paced motorcycle dealership setting

  • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form

  • Loading and unloading motorcycles in a safe manner, using provided tools as appropriate

  • Organizational abilities with task prioritization, multitasking use of timelines and time management techniques

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Required to work indoors and outdoors

  • Ability to work days, evenings, and Saturdays

  • Ability to lift 50-80 pounds and maneuver motorcycles

ONLINE/E-COMMERCE SALES ASSOCIATE (Full-Time Position)

 If you enjoy going the extra mile for a customer, making them feel like they know you well (even if you haven’t met face-to-face), then this may be the job for you! The Online/E-Commerce Sales Associate delivers outstanding customer service as he/she supports clients by phone or email as they make online purchases. He/she picks the ordered products from our retail store or special orders the items as necessary. Sales are enhanced by providing information about alternative products or add-ons. The Online Sales Associate will also enter all new or updated products to GP Bikes’ website, including data and images. Online Sales Associates help customers shopping in the retail store as needed. The individual must be able to work Saturdays. Working motorcycle trade shows beyond our normal store hours 2-3 times a year is compulsory.

Qualifications: 

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle

  • Motorcycle apparel and accessories sales experience required (Parts knowledge is an asset)

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport

  • Ability to move between various tasks without losing focus

  • Strong verbal, written, and keyboarding skills are required to compose professional emails and converse with customers by phone

  • Able to work with ease in a web-based computer environment

FINANCE & INSURANCE/BUSINESS MANAGER (Full-time Position)

GP Bikes is looking for a motivated F&I/Business Manager to complement our exceptional team! This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced F&I Manager, with a track record of profitable sales, clean and organized paperwork, and enthusiasm for the motorcycle industry.

The F&I Manager performs a number of vital functions including:

  • work in concert with the General Sales Manager to determine appropriate lenders and suppliers of finance products

  • review the customer's credit application and credit report and discuss the available finance options to meet their needs

  • arrange financing with various lenders, following up on credit applications on a continual basis and negotiating with institutions for approvals

  • sell value added products including extended warranties and insurance products that meet the needs of our clients

  • prepare the delivery documentation, including the preparation of the loan documents, licensing paperwork and other legal forms required by provincial and federal regulatory bodies

  • must practice strict legal compliance and ethical behaviour.

  • ensures that purchase agreements, bills of sale, finance contracts, applications for registration and all other documents necessary for the sale of vehicles are completed accurately and in full compliance with GP Bikes policies and O.M.V.I.C regulations

Qualifications: 

  • A mimum of 3 years’ experience in Finance and Insurance Sales within a high volume dealership (auto or powersports)
  • OMVIC Certification
  • Strong ability to negotiate and sell; strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask; strong relationship building skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in person, on the telephone and in writing
  • computer proficiency with experience using technology to create efficiency within the F&I department
  • enthusiastic, can-do attitude, highly self-motivated, detail and results oriented, and a well-developed sense of drive

PARTS & ACCESSORIES SALES ASSOCIATE (2 Openings: Full Time Position & Full-Time Seasonal Contract )

 As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering enquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your work day, then this may be the job for you!  This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include making sure merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly

 Qualifications: 

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle and knowledge in motorcycle parts and accessories.

  • 3-5 years of previous customer experience in a retail setting

  • Keyboarding and computer skills

  • Able to work under pressure and good time management

  • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills

  • Available during all open hours (including Saturdays)

SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK (Full-Time Position)

If you are organized, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy a hands-on element in your work day, then this may be the job for you. You will ensure seamless processing of incoming and outgoing items because you understand the impact of this position on other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of this process. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries by hand or forklift, unpacking received inventory (motorcycle parts, accessories, and apparel), processing all required paperwork both manually and via computer program, as well as labelling and applying security tags. You will also package and ship products to customers and process all necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and Canada Post.

  • 2-5 years experience in the Shipping and Receiving role preferred

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to weigh and measure items.

  • Working knowledge of safe packing methods

  • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.

  • Strong attention to detail in all areas of work

  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.

  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

  • Computer literacy including keyboarding skills, email and MS Office

  • Be able to lift or move at least 50 lbs

  • Good customer service skills and professional phone etiquette

SERVICE ADVISOR (Seasonal Student Contract)

If you are someone who loves motorcycles, has a desire to work in a fast paced environment and loves working with people, then this may be the job for you! In this position, you are responsible for booking appointments, facilitating and quoting customer jobs, closing service invoices and selling service operations. You have an advanced knowledge of street and motocross bikes. You are an individual that has a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and able to be versatile in your role. This is a seasonal contract from early spring until the fall of 2017 which would be ideal for a student looking for part-time hours while in school with the option of more hours during the summer.
