In all positions at GP Bikes it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

MOTORCYCLE SALES ASSOCIATE (Full-Time Position)

Do you have a combination of 2-wheel passion, knowledge of most motorcycle makes and models, and successful motorcycle sales experience? If so, then contact GP today so we can explore our future together! We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual with at least 3 years of experience selling new and used motorcycles who is eager to be part of a team-focused environment.

 

Although we love to encourage motorcycle enthusiasts looking to enter the bike industry, we will only consider applicants with substantial motorcycle sales experience for this particular position. Thanks.

Qualifications:

 

  • Valid GM driver’s license

  • OMVIC certification

  • Previous sales experience in a multi-line motorcycle dealership

  • Positive work attitude

  • Computer skills (keyboarding skills; comfortable using technology on a daily basis to conduct business, i.e. using email, online training, sales leads software, computer-based spreadsheets, google docs, etc.)

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dealership setting

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers

  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport

PARTS & ACCESSORIES SALES ASSOCIATE (Full Time Position)

 

As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering enquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your work day, then this may be the job for you!  This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include making sure merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly.

 

 Qualifications:

 

  • Passion for the riding lifestyle and knowledge in motorcycle parts and accessories.

  • 3-5 years of previous customer experience in a retail setting

  • Keyboarding and computer skills

  • Able to work under pressure and good time management

  • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills

  • Available during all open hours (including Saturdays)

CASHIER (Part-Time Position)

If you are friendly, energetic, and have a “no problem” attitude that makes customers feel welcome, then this may be the job for you! In this position, you are responsible for delivering excellent service to every customer - whether you are processing purchases, returns, exchanges, or general inquiries. You love to multitask and handle duties such as answering phone calls, completing transactions, paging staff as well as administrative tasks assigned by the various departments within the company. You will need to possess good math skills and have the ability to keep a balanced till.

Availability is required this spring on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays from 9-5. Other shifts may be offered based on a candidate’s availability. Summer and ongoing shifts will vary.

SALES ADMINISTRATOR & ASSISTANT (Full Time Position)

The Sales Administrator plays a key administrative role in supporting the motorcycle sales team and provides an important link between the salesperson and the client. The Sales Administrator reviews all sales contracts and ensures required documentation is complete and accurate before processing the sale and releasing the vehicle for delivery. Other administrative duties associated with the motorcycle inventory are also handled by this position.

This position functions as part of the dealership’s ‘Business Office’ which is responsible for the administration of bike sales and selling of Finance and Insurance products. This is a multi-role position capable of completing many tasks associated with the Business Office, however, the primary focus will be on sales administration functions.

This position also supports the Business Office Manager as a back-up in her absence for completing Finance & Insurance Sales. This function involves offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties, as well as a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. Members of the Business Office are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards and are required to be a registered salesperson with OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council).

This position also serves as an assistant to the President of GP Bikes with tasks mainly associated with motorcycle sales.

 Please note this is not an entry-level position.

 Qualifications:

  • OMVIC certified

  • College diploma or degree

  • Experience in sales administration within the automotive or motorcycle industry

  • Strong math and organizational skills

  • Previous customer service experience in a professional setting

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport

  • Ability to move between various tasks without losing focus

  • Strong verbal, written, and keyboarding skills

  • Thrive in fast paced environments

  • Strong attention to detail, balancing speed and accuracy

E-COMMERCE PRODUCT MAINTENANCE (Part Time Position)

If you are organized, focused, and looking for a job with flexible hours to work around other commitments such as childcare, then this position may be the right fit for you. E-Commerce Product Maintenance involves uploading new products to GP Bikes’ website (including data and images), as well as updating existing or removing discontinued products. Knowledge of riding apparel and motorcycle parts and accessories will help with categorizing these products appropriately.

You will work 27-30 hours a week. Please indicate in your cover letter your available hours from Monday to Friday so we can arrange a mutually beneficial on-going schedule. Working motorcycle trade shows beyond our normal store hours 2-3 times a year is compulsory.

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR (Full Time Position)

As a Human Resources Coordinator you will be responsible for providing HR generalist and administrative support to the VP of HR & Admin and employees on all aspects of Human Resources activities.

You will:

  • assist with the development and implementation of company policies;

  • identify necessary health and safety initiatives, research related legislation and best practices, write policies and procedures, source or develop appropriate training, assign and track employee training;

  • write job descriptions and job postings,

  • assist with recruitment;

  • provide orientation and training of staff;

  • organize employee events;

  • monitor attendance and assist managers with preparing timecard reports in ADP Workforce Now for payroll;

  • maintain accurate, up-to-date personnel records;

  • maintain the HR filing system (paper and electronic);

  • demonstrate authentic care and compassion for co-workers, balanced with an understanding and appreciation of business needs and government requirements.


As this position supports the VP of HR & Admin/Owner, administrative duties may include filing, drafting correspondence, preparing reports requested by other departments, etc.  Versatility is key for this role. If you want to be an integral part of GP Bikes then you must be willing to jump in where there is a need.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management preferred

  • Experience in all facets of HR such as health and safety, recruitment and training and development.

  • Knowledge of current employment laws and safety legislation.

  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now HRIS system is an asset.

  • Experience being part of a Joint Health and Safety Committee.

  • Excellent written, verbal and comprehension skills.

  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Computer skills: Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and Google Drive. Preference given to candidates who can present and facilitate technology-based solutions to HR strategies.
